In the spirit of setting down challenges (and borrowing from Shannon Collins who created a “30 before 30“) I’m publicly listing 25 major things I’d like to accomplish before reaching quarter-life. As I complete these items, I’ll note it here.

- Read Will Durant‘s “The Story of Civilization” (~10,000 pages over 11 volumes)
- Attend performance of the Goldberg Variations
- Run the Ragnar Relay (200-mile 12-person team relay from Miami to Key West)
Run a Half Marathon| Done.- Run a Marathon (more)
- Attend the 2012 Olympics in London
- Travel by train from Beijing to Moscow
Finish traveling the continental United States| Done.- Enjoy 100 beers in a day at McSorely’s Wonderful Saloon
- Spend 24 hours on the New York City subway
- Complete The Great Saunter, a 32-mile walk around the perimeter of Manhattan
- Complete the Philadelphia Broad Street Run
- Visit the Statue of Liberty
- Read The Face in the Frost to my little brothers, and five others by John Bellairs
